Clinics For The Birds

Well what do you know our Government is thinking about opening what they term Poly clinics. This is not a new idea Germany has had these kind of walk-in clinics, with everything but the kitchen sink built in to them, for some time now. We are told that if and when these kind of clinics open their doors it will bring fast and speedy help to those that are unwell. It’s not the speedy help for those who become unwell I have a problem with, it’s what will happen to my local doctors surgery that bothers me…

Big Brother say it will not have a knock on effect, and I should not be concerned about my local surgery closing its doors for good, or for that matter anybody’s local doctors surgery closing down, as this will not happen. Well, I sincerely hope that they are telling the truth, Why I hear you saying?. Well, it goes like this Tory policies have, in the past, never been good for the working individual that is unless you sit on the board of directors, or own your own, or some piece of anothers Company.
As far as joe soap, people like me,is concerned no matter how much David Cameron trys to be seen walking to the shops for a bottle of milk, and his daily paper, or embracing a Hoodie, or Chav remember it looks good for buisness, but when his gaurd is down then is concerns for poor Joe Soap fly out the window. If you put David Cameron in to office believing he will do a better job for the working man then you are still getting your Christmas presents from Santa Clause.

“Take a look around some of our towns and villages especially the latter”.

I live in a large town and over the last 2 years our Post Office has gone from a large building of modern stature, with all the things relevant to a large post office, to a small shop. Now in the second year of it down-sizing it is sharing a shop with the local chemist. We now hear on the grape-vine that it could close all together. That would leave a lot of older people that have very limited transport a 4 mile journey to the next available post office. The relevance of this is that they said no to post office’s closing their doors I now know this was a lie, as a lot of area’s up, and down this country of ours has lost their Post Office, or they know of someone who has.

Now Government tell us that these Poly Clinic’s will fit in to the hub, and our doctors surgery’s will be the spokes correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the hospitals were, and always have been the hub of our health service, and the doctors surgery was the spokes referring people to the hospitals when, and where it becomes necessary. So when I am informed building these Poly Clinics will not have a knock on effect of closing our doctors surgeries I am having a hard time believing it. So you see I have a bit of a dilemma do I still vote Labour? when the time comes, if not then who do I give my vote too. I need to vote for someone. (don’t I?)
